In an interview with CBN, the Executive Director of Heart4Iran talks about the hope of the Gospel in the middle of the conflict in Iran.

Kelly Wright, a senior White House correspondent for CBN News, recently talked with Edwin Keshish-Abnous, the Executive Director of Heart4Iran, about the important work the ministry does to bring the Gospel to the people of Iran during a time of war and hardship.
For more than 20 years, Heart4Iran has been spreading the word of Jesus Christ in Farsi. Its mission goes beyond Iranians to include Farsi-speaking communities in Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Keshish-Abnous said, “We want to preach the Gospel, introduce people to Jesus, and help them grow in their faith.” “In a hostile environment, we get believers ready to understand the cost of following Jesus and grow through house churches in their communities.”

The ministry has not stopped, even though there have been internet blackouts and strict rules since the conflict started in late February. The team got a new satellite provider within three days after their old one suddenly cut off their signal. They then resumed 24/7 Christian programming in millions of Iranian homes.

Keshish-Abnous said that Iranians are tired of decades of repression, economic hardship, and now war, but they still have hope. A lot of people in the country hope that the current situation will lead to a change in the government, more freedom, and religious freedom.
He talked about how much spiritual growth there has been, going from fewer than 500 Muslim-background believers before the 1979 revolution to about one million today. He stressed that real and lasting change can only happen when Iranians meet Christ and their hearts change.
