Sara’s Hope

Sara’s Hope

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Jeremiah 33:3

Sara emailed the Mohabat TV counselors, asking them to guide her to become a Christian. While they were responding, Sara felt the urge to call them instead. She said she was in such a hurry, feeling very restless and depressed. The counselor guided her through a prayer to receive Jesus and to follow Him. Before she hung up the phone, Sara was full of joy! She found Jesus that day.

Sara’s powerful testament of going from restlessness to freedom in Jesus is what stood out to our team. How often do we allow ourselves to get overwhelmed with different moments throughout the day instead of honing in our Lord’s whisper and answering His call.

Prayer Point: Let us tune our hearts to Jesus so that we can fully hear His Word and then follow Him with complete joy.

Lila’s Healing

Lila’s Healing

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

John 1:9

Desperate for healing from a life of prostitution, Lila was flipping through television channels and came across Mohabat TV. After watching a couple of our shows, she called into our call center. Lila called in a second time just a couple weeks later, proclaiming, “I had turned to prostitution to make a living but found myself depressed and disillusioned. I called the counselors at Mohabat TV for comfort. They told me about Jesus, His love and His forgiveness of my sins!”

“Depressed and disillusioned” is how Lila described the season she was in- until she found Christ and His redeeming love. So often we thing our sin, that brings such shame and guilt, prevents the Lord from loving us deeply. How wrong we are! God is a merciful God.

Prayer Point: Let us pray for forgiveness for our sins and wrongdoings, turning away from shame and guilt and falling deep into the Lord’s arms instead.
