Sara’s Hope

Sara’s Hope

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Jeremiah 33:3

Sara emailed the Mohabat TV counselors, asking them to guide her to become a Christian. While they were responding, Sara felt the urge to call them instead. She said she was in such a hurry, feeling very restless and depressed. The counselor guided her through a prayer to receive Jesus and to follow Him. Before she hung up the phone, Sara was full of joy! She found Jesus that day.

Sara’s powerful testament of going from restlessness to freedom in Jesus is what stood out to our team. How often do we allow ourselves to get overwhelmed with different moments throughout the day instead of honing in our Lord’s whisper and answering His call.

Prayer Point: Let us tune our hearts to Jesus so that we can fully hear His Word and then follow Him with complete joy.

Maryam’s Awakening

Maryam’s Awakening

“But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. ‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.'” Peter 3:14

Maryam called Mohabat TV to plead for prayer. Recently divorced and separated from her children, she desperately sought peace in her religion but couldn’t find it. “I am tired of my religion,” she lamented. “I am looking for a relationship with God.” One of our counselors introduced Maryam to Jesus… and in that moment, her heart was awakened to life! She immediately accepted Jesus as her Savior and then asked how she could become a pastor. Despite the risks, Maryam’s already told her cousin and a classmate about Jesus.

Maryam’s testament exudes a true surrender and trust in the Lord. He does make all things good in His ways. Maryam was willing to put her fear aside and keep her sight set on Christ.

Prayer Point: May we have a newfound surrender to Christ’s ways, amidst ridicule, hatred, and chaos in the world.

Amin and Laleh’s Belief

Amin and Laleh’s Belief

“For I will restore you health and heal you of your wounds.”
Jeremiah 30:17

Amin* and Laleh* called Mohabat TV to ask for prayer for their son who was paralyzed following an accident. During the prayer, their son was able to blink his eyes! The family shared this with the phone counselors, fully seeing the Lord’s healing power.

How easy it is to lose faith, especially in times of pain and suffering. Amin and Laleh’s testament to remaining faithful and putting their hope in the Lord is truly powerful.

Prayer Point: May we obtain a faithful spirit to God, amidst the joys, amidst the sorrows.

Naser’s Strength

Naser’s Strength

“For our momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”

2 Corinthians 4:17

Naser, sick with cancer, accidentally phoned into our call center from the hospital. He was watching television, and while changing channels, intended to call another channel. However, he reached our team and by the grace of God, began asking questions about the Gospel. As one of our counselors explained the Good News, he prayed for his salvation. Moments later, the counselor prayed with him for his healing and belief. Naser then felt a great peace and proclaimed how happy he was that he “accidentally” called Mohabat TV.

Thank God that Naser “stumbled upon” Mohabat TV. Especially in times of great pain and suffering, it is easy to lose the hope and peace that Christ offers. He sanctifies us. He makes us holy. He makes us pure.

Prayer Point: Let us pray for the healing of Naser, as well as the strength bear our own pain and suffering.
